Fast-growing brewery among hundreds of businesses getting help to be more energy efficient

Attic Brew Co, a fast-growing Birmingham craft brewery, has received a grant under the West Midlands Combined Authority’s energy efficiency scheme to reduce its carbon emissions by 65 tonnes annually and save £30,000 in energy costs. The funding supports new energy-efficient equipment and aligns with the region’s #WM2041 net-zero goal. This initiative, backed by the Department for Energy Security & Net Zero, helps SMEs like Attic tackle rising energy costs while maintaining growth. Mayor Richard Parker praised the brewery as a vital community hub and an example of sustainable development in the West Midlands.
