Guinness 0.0 has made its Southeast Asian debut in Singapore, while New Zealand’s DB Breweries has completed a trial of zero-alcohol beer on draught and is now rolling the format out to 300 venues.
Together, the developments show how alcohol-free beer is moving beyond supermarket shelves and into everyday pub and hospitality settings. The rising popularity of alcohol-free beer on draught signals growing opportunities for breweries, pubs and beer suppliers worldwide.
Alcohol Free Beer on Draught: Guinness 0.0 Singapore Launch

Guinness 0.0 is entering Singapore on October 26, marking the brand’s first launch in Southeast Asia.
Diageo announced the market debut on September 15, positioning the alcohol-free stout across participating pubs, bars and restaurants, as well as selected FairPrice Finest, Cold Storage and Sheng Siong outlets. Consumers can also purchase it online through:
- RedMart
- PandaMart
- Shopee
The stout follows Guinness’s established brewing process before cold filtration removes the alcohol without using heat. Guinness says this technique helps retain the beer’s distinctive colour, creamy head and flavours associated with roasted barley, coffee and chocolate.
The Singapore launch also arrives as Guinness builds its presence around football. The brand holds Official Beer and Official Non-Alcoholic Beer status with the English Premier League, linking Guinness 0.0 to a major sporting and hospitality audience.
A promotional campaign supporting the new football season will accompany the market launch, giving pubs and restaurants another occasion to serve alcohol-free beer.
DB Breweries Puts Zero-Alcohol Beer in New Zealand Taps
On the other side of the news, DB Breweries is taking zero-alcohol beer into New Zealand’s hospitality sector after a successful Auckland trial cleared the way for a wider rollout.
The brewer plans to install zero-alcohol taps at around 300 venues nationwide by the end of 2026, following tests at Empire Tavern and Moretons. The pilot addressed a leading technical challenge, which is serving zero-alcohol beer cold without freezing it in draught lines.
DB Managing Director Peter Hart said the trial “solved one of the biggest barriers to serving zero alcohol beer through traditional hospitality draught systems.” He added that consumers choosing zero alcohol should still be able to enjoy “the same freshly poured pint” in the same social setting.
The rollout covers Heineken 0.0, Export Zero and Monteith’s Zero Pale Ale. DB estimates New Zealand’s zero-alcohol beer category is growing by about 10% annually, while Heineken 0.0 remains the country’s leading zero-alcohol beer brand.
The expansion gives alcohol-free beer on draught a larger presence across everyday pub occasions.
What the Data Says About No-Alcohol Beer Growth
The expansion of alcohol-free beer into pubs and bars reflects a broader moderation drinking trend.
Preliminary data from IWSR shows no-alcohol beer volumes across 21 leading beer markets grew 8% in 2025, while beer overall declined 1%. The research also found that premium-and-above products accounted for 29% of no-alcohol beer volumes, compared with 20% in 2019, pointing to stronger demand for higher-value options.
DB Breweries sees the same potential in hospitality. Managing Director Peter Hart said, “We believe New Zealand is moving toward a future where a zero alcohol beer tap is a normal part of every bar.”
The expansion of alcohol-free beer on draught, however, still depends on practical dispensing solutions. Zero-alcohol beer can react differently to chilled draught systems, particularly where very low temperatures risk freezing the product in the lines.
DB’s Auckland trial tackled that issue directly, testing technology adapted to New Zealand’s cold-serving requirements.
Alcohol Free Beer on Draught: Looking Ahead
Guinness 0.0 will enter Singapore on October 26, while DB Breweries aims to bring zero-alcohol taps to 300 New Zealand venues by the end of 2026. These launches could provide a blueprint for wider adoption as brewers address the technical and commercial demands of draught service.
